The main highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the beautiful and quiet outdoor patio, adorned with vibrant flowers and serene plants—a perfect spot for a reflective lunch, or perhaps a leisurely evening with friends, soaking in the sophisticated atmosphere. The room was a comforting retreat with lovely old-time decor and a view overlooking the picturesque Carquinez Strait, which I found to be both soothing and inspiring. While the hotel does exhibit some signs of age, it's the warmth of the staff, particularly Erika at the front desk, that truly elevates the experience, ensuring that your needs are met with a welcoming smile. I reveled in dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, where the menu crafted by Chef Michel Paris Jr and Head Chef Steve Groves featured a delightful array of seasonal dishes, perfect for savoring alongside a glass of local wine.
